From the age of four, John McAllister has lived most of his life in Charlottesville. A number of his beloved pets, including current cat Whiskey, have come from the SPCA.

Often feeling the pull of the dance floor, preparing for the Critter Ball has given John a great opportunity to learn some of the finer aspects of dance with instructor Erica Shergold. Working with Erica has also evoked fond memories of dance classes past including the “prep step” course which he took with a group of friends as a first year student at UVA and a series of dance classes that his family took together before his parents got married.

John currently works as the director of investor relations for locally based Quantitative Investment Management.

She’ll be pouring your favorite wines, and all the proceed will go to support her in the Charlottesville-Albemarle SPCA 50s Critter Ball. Tara is one of the dancers in this year’s competition, and you vote with your dollars.
